Quetzalcoatl, also known as Coatl, is a secondary character in Destiny Ninja 2+.
Quetzalcoatl is a small, feathered serpent with iridescent wings that allow him to fly as well as a long, flowing tail. His feathers are mostly light green and various shades of turquoise, but there is a small plume of red feathers on his chest. He has short forearms and hind limbs that resemble those of a bird for perching on people or objects. Quetzalcoatl also has a small beak.
Quetzalcoatl is energetic and optimistic. He finds joy in the company of others and lives to make others happy. After being abandoned and forgotten by many of the Spring Village people, he became lonely but continued to believe in and wish the best for the villagers. Although Quetzalcoatl discourages aggression, he will not hesitate to defend and protect his friends.
Quetzalcoatl is the guardian deity of the Spring Village and can see the future. He is also known as the God of the Wind. During the Spring Village's early beginnings, the villagers would often come and visit the shrine at which Quetzalcoatl resided in order to worship him and bless the village. Once the villagers shifted their focus toward advancing the Spring Village, they neglected him and established an isolated ruin away from the village for him to remain at. Since Quetzalcoatl gains his power from the support of the Spring Village's people, his power began to wane and the Thousand-Year Cherry Tree, the symbol of the Spring Village, weakened significantly.
- "...If my absence brings happiness to the villagers, I'm fine with that. It's my duty to protect humans, not bear grudges against them."
- (To Yayoi) "Just like you, deep down in their hearts the villagers still remember me. That's all I ever wished for."
- Coatl's character is based on Quetzalcoatl, a feathered serpent and god of wind featured in Aztec mythology.
