Azusa Kuze (久世梓, Kuze Azusa) is a foreign student and potential romance option in Wizardess Heart+.

Personality[]

When initially introduced, Azusa appears to be quite kind and polite, offering MC candy and sharing facts about Hinomoto. Azusa's real personality is quite blunt and rude, but when romanced, he does show genuine care for the MC through his actions.

Physical Description[]

Azusa appears to have medium dark brown hair, with blue green eyes, and a lighter skin tone.

Biography[]

Azusa Kuze was born and raised in Hinomoto, a country east of the kingdom of Gedonelune. His father was an Onmyoji, known as a court wizard in Gendolune, for the Imperial Court of Hinomoto. His mother was a housewife and took care of Azusa as well as his younger brother, Tsukasa.

When he was six years old, a civil war erupted in his country and his parents were killed due to a dispute over their land. Tsukasa was one year old when their parents died. He vowed to protect Tsukasa regardless of the costs thereafter and assumed the roles of father and mother in addition to being his elder brother. He took over his fathers position as Onmyoiji for a noble in the Imperial Court of Hinomoto.

Randy March met Azusa during his visit to Hinomoto. Azusa happened to overhear a conversation Randy and a noble were having regarding Gedonelune and the academy, and he requested to leave to Gedonelune with Randy. So a month prior to your arrival, Azusa left Hinomoto to attend Gedonelune Royal Magic Academy.

Magical Abilities[]

Azusa's magical abilities are derived from Hinomoto magic, which is an entirely different system of magic than found in Gedonelune. Azusa casts by tracing Hinomoto characters in the air, and also occasionally utilizes magic circles or ofuda. Unlike wizards in Gedonelune, Azusa does not need a wand to cast, nor does he need to physically speak, giving him an advantage in certain situations (such as underwater).

As Hinomoto's magic system does not include light magic, Azusa is unable to cast this school of magic.

Etymology[]

The name Azusa means "catalpa" (梓).
Azusa's surname Kuze means "long time" (久) (ku) and "world" (世) (se/ze).

Trivia[]

Azusa names his son Tsukasa in his Happy Ending.
